What is HiraTen?
HiraTen is named after “Hiraku Tenki,” which translates to “Opening Weather” in English.
Just like selecting shoes or bags, we hope you’ll enjoy incorporating sun umbrellas as part of your outfit coordination.
From adult and children’s clothing to sun umbrellas.
Initially, we used general fabrics, but about two years later, we began developing our own embroidered fabrics, allowing us to offer more vibrant and stylish sun umbrellas for coordinating with outfits. Later, we discovered Banshu-ori, a traditional craft from Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture, and were captivated by its modern and elegant aesthetic. Banshu-ori, a yarn-dyed fabric that has been woven since the Edo period, is known for its beautiful colors and soft texture. We wanted to express this charm through our sun umbrellas, so we collaborate with weavers to create fabrics that feature original colors and designs.
Currently, while using existing fabrics and designs, we also offer products with color variations and customizations. With the concept of “enjoy coordinating with sun umbrellas,” we create a range of items using Banshu-ori, such as ties, dresses, and scarves. The scarves, in particular, are highly appreciated for their soft texture. Additionally, through collaborations with long-established bag and sandal makers, we create items that blend tradition with modernity.
